Sharing crayons

Max and Quin were coloring at the table. Max  had a brand new box of crayons. He was coloring in his new superhero coloring book. Quin's new box of crayons was already all broken up and/or eaten by Shamus.  He really wanted to use markers. And his eyes were on Max's new crayons.

"And don't you be hillbilly handfishin' my new crayons," Max warned off his bro.

Double Rainbow

"Look, Quin," said Bethia. "Someone's colored in the sky!"
"With markers," Quin answered.

Afternoon at Seminole Library Park

Quinn has just said, "shoe" to his mother. He had kicked one of his blue crocs off in the parking lot and she's just come back from running all the way back to the car.

Sadly, no alligators so far.

And no cobras. Or even racoons, owls, possums, or perhaps another bunny.

Ah! Rocks!

Max has become very quick at catching lizards.

What a wonderful afternoon! This outing was followed up by swinging by getting waffled fries & chicken nuggets from Chik-Fil-A (which Max ate greedily) and root beer floats at my house.  It was a happy day.

Bethia Marie's Domestic Tragedy = Grandmother's Happy Time

That's facepaint AND chocolate.
Poor Bethia!  Learn as you go really sucks when it's applied to figuring out how to set up thousand gallon swimming pools with the infrastructure of an inner tube. Less, really -- only the top ring blows up, and the rest just takes shape by magic.  Bethia's Supermom, but she's  not Hermione. "I guess I'm not very bright," she said, frustrated, and Max said, "No, you're not bright. You're brighter."
A shark.
Max moves so fast you can hardly see him.

So cute

Easter for Max is Pez dispensers!

A splendid Easter at Max & Quin's:  They were already very full of jelly beans when I arrived.  We sat outside and Jon came out and tried to tempt Quin to eat a little lox, like a papa bird bringing some delicious fish to his baby bird.  Quin pushed him back into the house and shut the glass door on him! No lox this year.

We played UNO fiendishly. Bethia won the first hand and I gave my loser moan, while Max said, "Ha ha! She lives in my house." Max won the next hand. Max is a crocodile!

Quin was fully recovered from his terrible accident when he bit through his tongue, glad to say. And Max was recovered from his allergy testing.  Those boys have had a tough week!
